In a major Decision and to the much delight of Yatris , the Union home ministry had given the approval for providing the Pre paid Sim cards to the yatris who are planning to undertake the Amarnath yatra.Here are a few points that yatris might find interesting
- Due to security reasons, the Pre paid Sim card of other states are non- functional in J&K.But the post mobile connections will work in the state.
- The prepaid sim cards that will be provided to yatris will have a limited validity of only 7 days.After 7 days, no recharge will be made on that number.
- Prepaid sim cards will be provided by National Telecom Back bone BSNL.
- Other Telecom operators are also asked to provide cross connectivity.
- It is important to not that as soon as you enter the J&K Border, the Prep paid Sims will be non- functional.
